What are the drugs for treating asthma?

The drugs for treating asthma can be roughly classified into the following types.
What are the drugs for treating asthma?

(1) Glucocorticoids (commonly known as hormones): Glucocorticoids are the drug of choice for the treatment of asthma. They are usually based on inhaled hormones. There are many side effects of intravenous drugs, which are generally used in the case of severe asthma attacks. Representative inhalants are beclomethasone dipropionate, budesonide, etc.;

(2) Bronchodilator: β2 receptor agonist can quickly relieve airway stenosis, is the drug of choice for the control of asthma attacks. The short-acting β2 receptor agonist has a duration of 4 to 6 hours, representing salbutamol and tert-butyl alcohol. The long-acting β2 receptor agonist has a duration of 8 to 12 hours, which means that the drugs are Meichuanqing and Shiliwen, but the long-term use of β2 receptor agonists will reduce the effect. Therefore, long-term use of such drugs is not recommended;

(3) Anticholinergic drugs: a cholinergic receptor antagonist, synergistically combined with a β2 receptor agonist, especially suitable for nocturnal asthma and phlegm patients;

(4) Theophylline drugs: Theophylline slow release agent, such as sulphonic acid, can last up to 12 hours and can be used for chronic and nighttime authors;

(5) Mast cell membrane stabilizer: such as sodium gluconate, mainly inhibits the release of histamine, leukotrienes and prostaglandins from mast cells, reducing airway inflammation;

(6) Others, such as immunosuppressive agents, may be selected as appropriate depending on the condition.
